The Danish clothing brand WOOD WOOD is partnering up with Vans to create two truly unique takes on the iconic Vans Old Skool Womens silhouette, one that is continuing its foray into streetwear relevancy. The menswear-centric label puts a premium spin on the two offerings with suede detailing and gum bottom outsoles coming on the black and white version alike. A distinct color blocking scheme features the toe cap of the shoes in a different color from the side panels of the upper that add a truly old-school aesthetic. The clear focal point of WOOD WOOD’s latest capsule is the text “Now Forever” and “Forever Now” emblazoned on the midsole of
both Vans Old Skool Mens variations.
Skateboard brand Alltimers teams up with Vans this summer for an all-new edition of the Vans Old Skool Cheap in a “space age” design. The not-so-serious skate brand brings their playful aesthetic to the Old Skool silhouette for a futuristic mesh construction with cotton webbing and reflective accents inspired by an imagined narrative of where laser-wielding aliens have taken over the world. The unique Old Skool will drop in two colorways of royal/yellow and white/blue sitting atop the durable and cushioned Vans Pro skate vulcanized waffle outsole.
The Vans Old Skool Discount and Sk8-Hi are built with leather and suede panels, the iconic checkerboard pattern on the medial side, and the distinct red Vans stripe to reflect the retailer’s chief color. Further notes of homage are seen on the lace-tips, which feature “Bascom”, and 25th Anniversary insoles.
